Nnaemeka Mathew Keke (born 17 February 1997), popularly known as Emezzy, is an American/Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter. His stage name EMEZZY is derived from his original name Nnaemeka. Emezzy is a self-taught musician best known for songs inspired by a combination of his Nigerian roots and Neo-soul love.
Emezzy is regarded as one of the hip-hop genre's most prolific artists. Some of his popular songs are Foreign Ride, Murder Case, Body, and Tribute to Marcel.
Keke moved on to pursue his passion in the music industry after graduating from high school in 2014, and he released his first freestyle cover song with Fetty Wap's Trap Queen beats titled No Love in the Street ft. Faybian, his first single. This song went straight to the top of the charts shortly after its release. Keke eventually made it to the top of the lists as an up-and-coming vocalist with a one-of-a-kind rapping style. When Keke came to Atlanta in 2015, his music career took off and he began gaining mainstream popularity.
Later in 2015, Keke moved to the United States, where he worked at Walmart for a period before returning to the music scene. The next year, he opted to record a song as Yung Rick called "Street Nigga," which he later released in 2017. That same year, he released "Link Ip," as well as other songs like "Flex a Check" and "Big Ass (Bounce)." After a long time, Keke changed his name from Yung Rick to Emezzy, and in August of 2020, he released the track "Foreign Ride." During his birthday in 2021, he launched a two-track EP titled "Aquarius," which included the songs "Body" and "Murder Case.
